I have checked the leak over, it is definatly engine oil. It is not coming from the top of the bell housing, it is definatly coming from underneath. It has been around about 5 hours since the car was parked up and it still has a drip of oil coming off of it.

Just an update: IT was the crank seal, replaced and now no leak ! Thanks everybody!

Mysterious oil leak on mk6 GTi

Last night I heard that infamous rattle noise coming from the wastegate actuator which seems to be a common issue with the mk6 GTi. I'm a bit disappointed that my car hasn't had the clip already installed seeing it was assembled late in 2011.
