There are two golf courses at this venue; the Tenison Highlands Course and the Tension Glen course. The claim to fame of the Tenison Glen course is that it was the first municipally-owned golf course in Dallas as it was constructed on land donated by the Tenison family in 1924. Tenison Glen is an 18-hole course that features beautiful greens and the White Rock Creek which runs through the course. In 1968, this course hosted the Public Links Championship. Its sister course, Tenison Highlands, is a newer addition to the venue as it only opened in 2001. The course was designed by D.A. Weibring and Steve Wolfard. This challenging yet beautiful 18-hole course has many interesting features. These include tiff-eagle greens, 419 Bermuda grass-covered fairways, 32 sand bunkers, and five lakes.
