Hi peeps, just a dead quick question. How the bloody hell do i replace my sidelight bulbs on my mk4 Golf. After around 2 hours of srcaping knuckles and blood [:^ (] i managed to replace my dipped bulbs, but cant see for the life of me how to do sidelights! There so far forward it's un true!

It's bloody difficult, I've been putting off replacing a sidelight because of the hassle involved. Easiest way to access the headlight is to take the bumper off, but it CAN be done without. GVK changed one of mine at the weekend and although he wasn't able to get his hand in, his mate was.

The taillight assembly on the Volkswagen GTI Mk4 is a modular unit that houses the running light, brake light, turn signal and reverse light (and rear fog light on Euro cars)all in the same housing

All of the bulbs can be replaced without removing the unit from the car by accessing and removing the bulb housing portion of the unit through the access panel in the trunk.
