I saw your post about getting them out but what I would do next time is soak them in a mixture of warm water and Dawn dish soap.... Dawn is a grease cutter.. it's great at getting stuff off things (like the dirt that is stuck and causing the spikes to stick)

I'm over 220 pounds and walk often. After a miserable summer wearing out spikes and having an awful time getting them all out, I did this: I sat on a comfortable chair, opened a beer and tossed those pieces of Sh** in the garbage. Then I bought some Ecco Biom Hybrids and have never looked back.

A more upright lie would theoretically start the ball more left for a right handed golfer. See the thread below. Also, hitting off the toe would tend to move the ball left per the gear effect.
