How to increase speed in golf?

One of the simplest ways is to take one of your woods or your driver and turn it upside down and hold the shaft just below the club head. Making your normal swing, you will want to make the grip make as loud of a swooshing noise at the bottom of your swing, where the ball would be. As you swing the grip of your club, try to increase the speed and therefore the pitch of the swoosh. One of my favorite training systems is SuperSpeed Golf. The system is not particularly time consuming and has a real track record of increased distance.

Some companies offer ball fittings, and if you have the opportunity to take advantage of this you should. If not, feel free to ask your club professional what golf ball they think you should try and start there. It can also be fun to try your own experiment. Ask for three suggestions and try each. I think you will be surprised how obvious it is when you find the right golf ball for you.

What is the weakest aspect of Golf Story?

The weakest aspect of its golfing is how Golf Story handles slopes on the putting green. The pixelated art style is lovely, but effectively communicating subtle hills in isometric 2D is next to impossible. Golf Story opts to give you an arrow indicator similar to the one for wind, pointing in the direction of the slope and telling how steep the grade is: flat, light, medium, or heavy. I managed to learn to read that slope indicator well enough on shorter putts, but it becomes extremely hard at distance, and downright infuriating when a lofted ball lands on a seemingly flat green only to bounce unexpectedly due to the slope. I would have really liked an overlay on the green itself to give me a better indication of how the ball will behave.

Is Golf Story a real game?

Golf Story's clever writing and sound golf fundamentals keep it entertaining, even through some stale moments. Despite its light-hearted RP G structure, there’s a challenging and very real golf game here that’s worth coming back to even after the story is over. But it left me wishing that more of the campaign focused on the golf itself, and less on the often repetitive side tasks.

Is Golf Story multiplayer?

Golf Story has a very welcome multiplayer mode that heartily scratches the competitive itch I was craving more of during the campaign. It’s a bit of a shame that it’s limited to two players and local only, but it lets you pick the type of clubs you’ll be using, adjust the wind and slope settings, and play on any of the courses you’ve already unlocked during the campaign. It’s a testament to just how enjoyable the golfing is that I’ll still be looking to return to its multiplayer after such a long single-player campaign.
