i heard some good things about the aerotech claymore shafts when i was asking about ultralite shafts to try and duplicate the one in my tourstage VIQ driver which was 48 grams..3.6 torque..mid-kick point and R flex--- ...the claymore came closest to matching these specs on paper and at $80@ at golfsmith it wouldn't break the bank in case it didn't work out.. i tried their F4 flex advertised for 90-105 mph driver ss as mine was at 95.... it turned out a bit stiff for me so i ordered the F3 flex designed for--i think-- 85-95mph ss...after 2 rounds it seems to be a good fit now but will need a few more rounds just to be sure.. there is still the F2 flex in case i want to try a still softer shaft... i was able to sell the F4 to a friend for almost what i paid so no big loss there.. ...hope this helps...

I had a club fitting a few months ago, and one of the best shots I hit had the following data with it: Swing speed: 86.9 mph Ball speed: 130.2 mph Dynamic loft: 16.5 (I think this is club loft along with angle of attack) Smash factor: 1.5 (the best possible - means club squarely hit) Spin rate: 2256 Carry distance: 208.3 yds Total distance: 238.8 The ball ended up 16 yds right of target (I'm left handed) I think with our "slow" swing speed, a bit more spin might have gained a little bit more yardage, but I'm not sure. I was hitting a Titleist 909D2 driver with a Bassera A44 regular flex shaft.

I hate to resign myself to that distance, when I see others with terrible swings going well past me. The course I play is pretty soft, and there's not much roll.
