Location
I visited this resort for New Years 2022. After driving 5.5 hours from Atlanta and arrived a little after 5 the room was not cleaned. We had to wait about an hour for the cleaning. They could not put us in a clean room so we had to wait. When we got in the room the carpet was dirty (heavily stained). I will not visit this place again.
What happens after 9th hole at the clubhouse?
The with 9th hole doesn't bring you back to the clubhouse. After your round, the attendants are there to wipe down your clubs and carry them to your vehicle. There is an outside bar with plenty of chairs that is right beside the clubhouse.
Do golf fairways have water?
On some fairways there are stretches of sand that line the fairways in some cases for a hundred yards or more. There is no water. The fairways are wide, the tee boxes in great condition and the best greens I have ever seen. There are several bathrooms that are available.
When did Barefoot Resort open?
When Barefoot Resort opened in the early 2000s, it was ambitious even by Myrtle Beach standards — with plans for not one, not two, not three but four signature courses from Pete Dye, Tom Fazio, Greg Norman and Davis Love III.
What is the love course?
The Love Course incorporates the recreated ruins of an old plantation home along holes 3 through 7. Lined with live oaks and Carolina pines, the Fazio Course is the most traditional “Lowcountry” layout. Barefoot Resort was built with large golf groups in mind.
