Thanks! At nearly 4X the cost of the other option i'm sure its awesome but maybe a bit much for my requirements.

A large number of the active subs amps have high level inputs, if yours does, all you will need to do is splice an rca into one of the speaker outs and route that through to the amp, shouldn't cost more than a few quid. you are going active sub anyway so sound quality is not that important here, especially as it's in the lower hertz range.
