I think he's saying he doesn't want any tints at all. The R comes with front including windscreen at 30% as standard, 65% as standard on the rears. You can go 90% if you want as Taz has said but I doubt you can go any less. Even the basic Golf has 30% windows as standard these days as it's marketed as 'heat insulting tinted glass'..

Stupidly, I didn't spec rear tints on my FL 7R. For the price of them, as an extra, I really regret it as having seen some photos on here, I think they look great. I've spoken to my dealer and he reckons they can retro fit them but will be more money, as they need to add labour etc.

My daughter has yet to ask for any sunglasses when sat in the back and works security always ask me to wind the window down to check nobody in the back. So either they are very good at both heat and light reduction or my works security have bad eyesight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Your mate is wrong. Optional rear 90% tints are darker and let through less light. The rear 65% tints are the standard tint and jet in more light.

My R is white with 90% tints. Looks wise it suits the colour and now the weather is brighter it's perfect for keeping the sun out, glad I made that right choice.

I just got my Oryx white R with 90% tints and I can say for a fact they are much darker and definitely the right choice. Having said that, most places that do window tints go by the amount of light transmission, so 10% in this case.
