Finding the model year on your E-Z-GO golf cart
The interesting thing about E-Z-GO is that just finding the manufacturer code will tell you the model of the golf cart, and the year of manufacture is really easy to decode from the manufacture code.
Decode the manufacturer code!
If your E-Z-GO golf cart was made after 1979, then the year code is the last two digits of the code, but 76-78 used the first two digits of the code. Take these two digits, add 19- or 20- to the beginning, and you have your model year. If the last two digits are 02, then you have a 2002 golf cart, and so on.
Finding the model year on your Club Car golf cart
Club Car is nearly the same as E-Z-GO, but with a slightly different method of decoding the manufacturer code. The sticker placement is roughly similar, too. Also like the E-Z-GO, Club Car completely changed things in the disco era.
Finding the model year on your Yamaha golf cart
