There is a video of Sergio Garcia explaining the downswing. His advice seems a little strange to me.

Here's Sam Snead talking about the same sort of thing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JwINLfEmAjc I've changed to this feeling and its a miracle move. You really need to be coiled properly first tho.

I think if someone appears to have a fast arm swing it's only because they aren't using their body correctly and their all out of sequence to begin with! I actually liked the Sam Snead video more than Sergio's.

I wish I had rear view footage of him to post because it really shows how his arms get pulled down by his pivot/lower body (IMOP). He probably has some of the most relaxed arms and grip out on tour (given his lag). I am terrified to even try that drill with wedge. Well maybe a few times won't hurt!

it's funny how in golf you don't really see how big or small a person is on TV because there is no frame of reference. On that Sam Snead video, they say the guy he's coaching is 6'5"...Sam doesn't look any too small standing next to him. As far as Sergio's tip, I think this is dangerous territory, unless it's the specific fix you need.

To me this seems to highlight the difference between feel and real, especially as we all know Sergio's swing doesn't look like what he's showing or describing.

I think this is a great move. Been following the thread for couple days now. I have been performing this move religiously at the range to the tune of 300+ balls a day. Must admit, I'm a lifetime OTT swinger with a quick tempo. For me, having such a simply move to focus on, made it easier to get consistent ball striking.
