I have studied Tom Wishon and read some other articles but there is conflicting info. I have been playing Mizuno standard length irons (my 6 iron is 37 1/4''). I am 6ft 0'' and my wrist to floor is between 36 and 37 inches.

It's largely personal preference. You don't want to be all stooped over with a short iron/wedge in your hands though.

Have you seen how most golfers stand over the ball? Everyone is different- wrist to floor means squat IMO

The only way to get substantially longer distance with increase of 1/2 inch is if that change gets you to hit on the sweet spot. Otherwise, its a small increment based on the percentage increase of the length of the shaft, 0.5/37 .

To determine your wrist-to-floor measurement wear non golf shoes and stand on a hard surface with your arms hanging relaxed at your sides. Then have someone measure from the point where your hand meets your wrist (as shown in the diagram below) to the floor.
