Last week I was out playing golf in a buggy and all of a sudden the heavens opened. My Bushnell Tour v3 was on the shelf inside the cart and I didn't dream that it wouldn't be able to handle a little rain on it, so I didn't rush to cover it. The rain didn't stop so we packed in after an hour's delay.

Take the battery out, put it back in the rice and heat (outside sun if possible) and rice inside the battery compartment if it's sealed and let it sit there for another few dats. My guess is there's still moisture inside. If the battery is still powering the electronics while there's still moisture, then it's going to short out.

Guest Water fix to a Bushnell
March 2020 - Just fixed my Bushnell Tour V4 Rangefinder that stopped working after bag and cart went into a creek. You could see all the water droplets when looking through the viewfinder. So, I put it in a bowl of rice and placed it in front of my fireplace for couple days when using said fireplace. Now works great!

How to remove a button from a circuit board?
To remove them, you must use a high precision tweezer. They look like a small press button that is connected to the circuit board. After removing all the buttons, place them in a separate place. If possible, label the location of where you placed your button.
What screw to use to remove a rangefinder?

I fixed my dim LCD inside the rangefinder (Bushnell Tour v3 Jolt), by opening it up and reconnecting all the ribbon cables. Previously, the display numbers were dim, and I often could not read the last digit. To fix, you need to pull away the rubber grip around the device.
Bottom half of the numbers are not showing on the
LCD is faulty. Nothing you can do. That model has a 2yr warranty. Send it in to Bushnell.

Is there any way to fix a rangefinder that has been dropped in water? I accidentally did it to mine last friday and now it is not working. Is there anybody else out there that has done this and fixed the problem? Would love to know before I go buy a new one. Thanks, Jay

Don't laugh but you might trying putting it in a container filled with rice. If the device is still wet the rice will help speed up the drying process. I did the same to my iPhone a few weeks ago when I learned the difference between water resistant and water proof. My jacket was resistant and my phone was soaked but working like a champ now.

I would caution the use of rice since it can flake and little bits of rice can work their way into cracks, crevices and buttons.
