Is ballyowen cart path only?
This is slightly compromised by a cart-path only rules at all times. Verdict: While I feel Ballyowen is overrated and falsely advertised as a links course, there's no denying it's a very good upscale public course.

We decided to play Ballyowen on a whim, after my weekend conference calls were cancelled. It was $130 per person, which is steep (includes cart). The driving range includes complimentary balls, and there's a reasonably sized putting green.

We drove an hour or so out of NYC for a charity golf event to enjoy a cool day playing golf.#N#The hilly golf course had high grass or fescue that surrounded the fairways. There was hardly any trees or water hazards. If your ball was not in the fairway, it was buried in the outer part of the fairways and nowhere to be found.#N#I would love to play this course again when we are not playing in a tournament.
