The golf balls are chipped aren't they? I would assume that would limit their distance to some degree or they are using controlled flight balls in general. I've only been to TG once and I never tried to purposely hit balls over the net so I am not sure how difficult it would be.

CHuntsman

I've tried many of times, negative ghost rider for me anyways. 3/4 the way up the net on my best.

I worked at a TG for a summer and balls definitely went over. Usually were on 2nd or 3rd story, which adds about 15yrds of distance per shot we estimated as employees & about 10 yards of height for each level. So say you're on level 3 you're starting with an extra 30 yards and lets round up to 25 yards extra in elevation.

Chedmaster

I've put it over the net at one. If you hit it a decent length and intentionally hit it high it is doable. Doesn't gain you anything though.

Step 1

Set up your golf net in a safe place. While ideally all shots will enter the net, it is best to find the least risky area in the event of a miss.

Step 4

Address your ball as you would on the course. Don't allow the fact that you are not paying for balls, like at the range, to cause you to rush your shots.

Step 7

Watch your shots' trajectories. While it is hard to tell a great flight path from a good one in so short a distance, you can tell if your shots are spraying left or right, or staying too low.

Step 8

Examine the impact tape on the face of the club. A consistent spot on the sweet spot is a good sign.
