What is the difference between stiff and regular flex irons?
The main difference is that a stiff shaft is harder to bend than a regular shaft. This is usually created by adding more material to make the shaft up which can often also make them slightly heavier. The more force you create in your golf swing (higher swing speed) the stiffer you will want your shaft.

Stix Golf aims to bridge the gap between low quality box sets and expensive, a la carte clubs. Really nice iron set. Durable finish. Very good bag.
Introduction
Getting started in golf is a tough proposition. You can buy a cheap box set, but if you end up liking golf, you’ll want to upgrade in short order. Alternately, you can dive into an a la carte set, but that’s a significant financial commitment.
The Bag
The first thing that struck me when I unboxed the Stix Golf Complete Set is the high quality of the golf bag . Its legs pop out swiftly and provide a strong base. The zippers operate smoothly, and the materials feel sturdy enough to last many seasons.
Driver
I’m going to review each club type independently, touching on all the key elements: looks, sound, feel, and performance.
Fairway Woods
There are a lot of visual similarities between the fairway woods and driver in the Stix set. Both have the two tone matte black crown and red alignment dot. The fairway woods are average in size, symmetrical, round, and have medium depth faces. Also like the driver, they sit shut at address.
Hybrid
The Stix hybrid has a symmetrical, oval shape at address. Just like the FW and driver, it has a matte black crown with a red alignment dot. The hybrid does want to sit closed, but it’s not as extreme as the FW or driver.
Irons
Now we get to the undeniable high point of the Stix Complete Set: the irons . In terms of looks, the Stix irons ride the fence between game improvement and super game improvement. There’s a lot of offset and a meaty top line, but the blade length is average and nothing sticks out behind the top line.
The Brief
Stepping onto the links feels like a break from reality, whether you're halfway across the country, on an actual vacation, or are just down the road from work. That's why I play golf every chance I get.
The Closing Argument
After a few rounds with Stix's new V2 golf clubs, I can definitively say that they are high-quality, high-tech, and built to last. These graphite-shafted clubs increased my swing speed, improved my accuracy, and did damage control on mishits.
Stix Wedges
The first thing that jumps out at you on all of Stix clubs is the durable, all-black finish. The clubs immediately catch your eye, and in a very good way. This is especially true with the wedges, the clean lines and minimalist appearance would instill confidence into anyone that picks them up.
Stix Irons
Again, from a looks standpoint, the irons are unbelievably good. They don’t look like your normal set of irons you’d find in any other full-set of clubs being sold on the market. The irons certainly fall into the more forgiving category, but they don’t have that appearance of an oversized shovel you’re going to clunk into the grass.
Stix Driver And Woods
Drivers and fairway woods are every beginner and casual golfer’s favorite clubs in the bag. They’re the easiest clubs to hit and they go the furthest; everyone loves hitting the long ball.
