QR got a bad reputation and was run down, but it they did a major renovation to the course fairways, bunkers, and took out a lot of trees. Its a great deal with some challenging holes. Not too much OB and they have converted most of the cart paths to sand. You can usually play in 4 hours or less. Its 30 mins from Raleigh and 30 mins from Pinehurst.
