So I recently just purchased some Golf Pride New Decade Multi-Compound grips and was wondering if I could regrip them by myself or if I should just pay the money to have someone do it for me. Thanks in advance for the help.

It depends on how fussy you are about your grips. Removal of grips can be a problem for a newbie. The hooked blade on a handiknife works the best. if you are a slob you leave the old tape on and tape over it. If you are fussy then you remove the old tape. be careful if scraping graphite shafts so as to not harm the shaft.

i regrip my own clubs all the time, its something i enjoy doing really. so if its something that you wanna do yourself go for it, i like your idea about only trying one at first. but on the other hand its also really easy to have it done buy a club tech, ive seen guys change a whole set in half an hour........

Mrd19abhs

The only reason I wanna do it is I like to learn new things and since Im still young (22) this could save me a lot of money over the years if I dont have to pay someone else every year.

Do it alot now (whenever I replace a club), got a few tools to make it easy like a tape scraper, a thing that opens the tip of the grip so you can slide it on easier, and used an old clamp with a shaft holder. I like the strips instead of the tape, and use minerial spirit found at walmart.
