Forgive me if this is something known, or if this is an ignorant question... Are the clubs at Dick's Sporting Goods a lesser quality than say a proper pro shop? I ask this for a number of reasons. First off, for example, my family owns a paint/flooring/hardware store (think home center).

Carolina Golfer 2

That's very odd.

club head's come off whether clubs are bought at dick's or are custom built at the OEM. And the same applies to shafts. Get a little moisture down the shaft and after a couple years, it weakens and fails at just the place you would expect it to. the hosel. This isn't anything unusual. You can have [size=4]it reshafted fairly inexpensively.

SilverBullets

A couple things could have happened here.

Golfrnut

I don't think Dick's or anyone for that matter does OEM build-ups on custom sets. AFAIK, the orders are placed directly with the OEMs and they drop ship to the store. You issues here would not be with Dick's unless they did some sort of modifying to a factory set which I am not even sure the OEMs allow them to do.

goloworgohome

I've had heads break off of clubs bought directly from the OEM...sometimes it just happens...as with everything in life sometimes you just get a bad batch

yellolab

Reminds me of the persistent rumor that guns bought at Walmart are inferior to guns bought a gun shop. Crazy talk. Kevin

Hey Cathi, I hate to be the next guy to ask the same question haha but I'm still at a misunderstanding for all of this. I play for a college team and ordered my clubs through coach and Titleist had a few questions where my order info had issues yesterday and today so I presume that my clubs have been finished today.

I ordered a set of custom 718 AP1's on 7/17/18, and I'm curious how long it will take them to build and ship them? I got them fitted at the PGA Tour Super Store in Palo Alto, CA.
