Modern grips are one-piece sleeve types made of rubber, synthetic or composite material slid over the shaft and glued to it.

I just regripped a putter with a SS 3.0 and it is taking for-flipping-ever for it to dry. Usually within a hour or so it is set, but this one was sitting for well over 6 hours and still spins free. May have to pull it and try again.

Thanks mate, i like your advice about seating them on the ground in future. I guess since this if the first vice-less grip application i've done, it's a learning curve. But it's reassuring to know that the grip i've put on should be fine though. Thanks again :-)

Thanks Ajlepisto, think i'm just looking for reassurance about the grip. I don't have an air compressor to blow grips on or off, so i don't know any other way to take the grip off. As it's a NDMC it's not cheap so i don't want to sacrifice it. It's a barely noticeable slight wobble right at the butt end.

Day 39: Practiced when it was too dark to record video, but did take out Mevo to get some basic ball flight info. Shifted focus to backswing for today, just to give myself a break from downswing motion which I think will benefit from some camera work once I manage to practice while the sun is up. Worked with 8-iron tonight.
