I’ve read a glove should last 6 to 10 rounds, but IME that must be from a glove manufacturer. I usually change gloves every 6 months, and I average 1.5 rounds/week so I’ll play the same glove for about 30-40 rounds. In summer I rotate between two gloves, one would get too slippery after 9 or so.

background.. I worn through gloves in 1 to 2 rounds. I've played 3 rounds with my new Footjoy Pure touch and well it's getting there, maybe 2-3 more and it will have a hole too. Obviously because of this I've played most of my golf life sans glove. I have a feeling people get more miles out of their gloves then I do...so here's a poll.

The weather in Kentucky in the summer is much the same as Indiana. I play with 8 gloves, and use them for no more than 2 holes. I have found the wetter a glove gets, the more likely it is to rip or tear. They will last about 2 to 3 months that way.

I have been told by more than one teaching pro that I have taken lessons with. That a glove that tears in the palm/pad below the pinky finger, is a sign of regripping the club during your swing.
