Ive personally taken a set of I200's from Green Dot to Red Dot without any issues. Thats almost 4 degrees.

Several years ago I saw a video of a tour of the Ping assembly plant. They said all irons were built as a black dot lie. From there they were bent to the desired lie angle. So this means +/- 4 degrees of angle. I've heard the iron doesn't like to be re-bent very much.

I tried bending Pings at home. Almost impossible. Those suckers just don’t budge.

I've bent lots of Pings with good effect. I'd be afraid of bending 4 degrees though. 17-4 stainless is strong but a little brittle, compared to carbon steel anyway. If you need 4 degrees I'd send the clubs in. Not sure Ping will even bend them that much though. They used to say something like 4 color codes which means 3 degrees for most clubs.

You screw with the bounce (obviously) and I've also heard it screws up the offset too. I have a 52 and 62 I want to take to 50 and 60 and the bounce change wont be a HUGE issue for me but I dont need to screw with offset (something I cant see or feel) and take reliability out of it.

2 degrees is fine. Just know that by strengthening your loft by 2 degrees you will lose 2 degrees of bounce. Also forged clubs (and any, really) will tend to bend back after a while. I would get it checked every couple of months, depending on how much you use that club.

If you bend it .00001 degree you change the bounce by .00001 degree. There is no way possible with the current level of quantum physics we're at in our lives that you can bend a wedges loft and not affect bounce. The loft and bounce are fixed. Like an L.

The club makers I have talked with said that you can bend a wedge 2* without effecting the bounce, anything more than that and it will. This is the reason most OEM's only suggest 2* bend, they can be bent more but then the bounce will change.
