Depends on the specific ball. No answer out there unless you know which ball it is. My range used Top Range balls and I found them to be pretty accurate in distance. Now we have Srixon Soft Feels, and I feel like it is 5 yards shorter.

If they are two piece Wilson balls, the performance should be along the lines of a standard two piece ball. Once you start comparing a generic 2 piece ball to a premium multi-layer it is understandable to have differing results in either direction.

Depends on a lot of things, but I've found on the whole, they go shorter. This is mainly because they are in terrible condition with cracks/cuts, and probably have been hit thousands of times.

I think we can all understand there are good reasons why ranges have gone to limited flight balls. But they also need to understand there is good reason why many of us don't like practicing with these balls - so we don't! I have cut way back (no longer buy a range pass) because all of the ranges I use around here have these crappy balls.

I don't even look at the yardages to targets on a driving range. I'm just grooving the swing and working on shaping shots. If I want to work on yardages I go to a practice area and use my own balls, or go hit multiple shots on the course late in the evening.
