So if his ball was lost (?) by rule you go back to the tee and re-hit adding a penalty stroke (hitting 3 off the tee). In our men's league with a higher % of walkers we don't do that. We drop from a consensus of where the ball went in and add 2 strokes to keep pace of play moving along.
