Winter here in the UK so carrying when playing currently so only take 5. In the summer usually 7-8 balls 3 new gamers and a mixture of others I don't mind losing etc

SecondandGoal

I've usually got a couple sleeves of new/newer balls, and a random number of older balls in a lower pocket, usually carrying 12-15 total.

jholz

Since I walk and carry, I want to keep my bag as light as possible. I also grew up playing with my brother, who went on to be a + handicap and played the mini tours for awhile. He used to make fun of me for carrying anything more than a sleeve.

RSinSG

I start the round with 6 or so “new” ball meaning pristine ones. I don’t lose many but when they scuff (even a little) I put them in a bottom pocket which I clean out when I notice my bag getting heavy.

fpyle3

2 sleeves -- if I ever run out in an 18 hole round carrying six golf balls, I don't deserve to finish that round!

Old Tom Morris

I start with ten gamers. As I find balls I throw them in the big lower pocket. Eventually the bag starts getting heavier and there will be 65-100 balls in there and I will empty it out and start over. I have a giant old leather Burton Bag so I could probably fit 200 in there.
