The bunkers are well positioned, they do not interfere with accurate shots. I liked the greens very much, they are true to the read and the speed is consistent.

The course has length, at times is narrow and the greens are firm and fair. The changing elevation from tee to fairway to green requires careful calculation to hit the right club. The sand traps are well placed, they will gobble up errant shots but are not designed to get in the way of good shots. If you have ever wanted to play Grandfather Mountain Country Club (rated #2 in the state of North Carolina) but couldn't because it is private, Linville Falls Golf Club is your option. I've played every public course in the mountains, this one is tops in my book.
