How are tee boxes marked at golf cart paths?

Between both courses, there were plenty of dusty cart paths and a startling lack of signage. Tee boxes are marked at the cart paths by a 6-foot stick with a colored line around the top. It takes the proverbial "trains, planes and automobiles" to get there, but it is well worth the trip. The courses are in superb condition and the accommodations are top notch. Is the Dunes course good?

The Dunes course is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The service was lacking. We scheduled a tee time and showed up early to warm up. We were left standing around with no golf cart and no explanation for nearly 45 minutes. I finally asked if I could get to the practice range and they told me I was welcome to walk out there. The putting green is nearly a half mile from the clubhouse. They finally tried to bring us a very old gas cart that looked like it was around during the Carter administration. Normally this would be ok but after paying $240 that included a $30 cart fee we expected to get a more up to date mode of transportation with the advertised GPS system. They finally produced a golf cart. The service was a shame because the course is amazing. Maybe if you stay at the resort instead of just playing the course you will be treated better. It's possible that people simply playing a round are second class citizens.
