Easy going

I learned how to maintain a pool, by keeping it clean and taking care of the tables and chairs. A normal day was pretty laid back until all the children and swim lessons came. There was a diversification of people and everyone was welcome.

Murdoch’s is a dynamic restaurant where the place could be totally empty and suddenly 60 golfers come off the course for beers and hot dogs. There are great opportunities to make money as guests are usually in and out quickly and 18% gratuity is guaranteed, with most guests leaving additional tips on top.

No training and little help

I was never trained and sent out on the course my first day knowing nothing. The employees were helpful but management was not too involved. I found out new job requirements and expectations every week of the job that no one explained. Sometimes they asked us to stay overtime for random reasons short notice when we were about to clock out.

Fast paced fun environment with great people

A typical day at work consists of attending to 30-40 customers individually and providing excellent customer service. Management is great and the culture is fun. Multitasking in a high stress environment is the greatest challenge.

Ok place to work if you enjoy the game of golf

Ok place to work if you enjoy the game of golf. The pace was high during summer months and days were long. Outstanding tips provided by guest and members as well as Holiday bonus during Christmas.
