How to Perfect Your Mini-Golf Form
If you’re competing in a tournament, we recommend brushing up on your mini-golf form. It’s not unlike regular golf form, but the size of the golf clubs makes it necessary to remember a few things. For perfect strokes and low scores, here is some expert advice on improving your score and solidifying your technique.

View the course and play a few rounds before attending the tournament. This way, you have an idea of the lay of the land, the obstacles you’ll be playing against, and the strategy for beating your opponents. Keep an eye out for any hills, dips, and curves that might challenge you the day of the tournament.
Pick the Putter that is right for you
Do you remember when Harry Potter finds his wand in The Sorcerer’s Stone? Finding the right mini-golf putter isn’t unlike this scene. While the lights won’t flicker and they’ll be no old man watching over you, when you choose the right putter you’ll know. You’ll feel it.
How to Grip a Putter
Technique is singular to each player. The hand placement technique that is commonly known and widely used by mini-golfers and professionals alike is a grip that consists of your left hand on the top of the putter with your thumb pointing down the right side of the putter.
How to Stand
To putt to perfection, your stance is just as important as your grip. Once you have secured the putter and are using the correct grip, stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart, facing forward. You should be facing the golf ball and should be parallel to the hole. Your knees should be bent slightly to allow for some momentum when you swing.
The Swing
You don’t have to have the swing of a PGA golfer, especially since mini-golf courses are significantly smaller. When you swing to hit the ball, remember that you probably don’t have to hit as hard as you think you do.
