If you look at this logo most of the world will know what it is in a flash. With an outline of the United States in yellow and green with the hole and the flag right in the middle of Augusta Georgia. With the green came the famous green jacket that goes to the winner of this prominent tournament.

The St. Andrews Golf Club was formed on September 29, 1843. Its 11 founder members were mostly tradesmen, but included a Dancing Master and a Butler (George Morris, brother of Tom). Golf was not a poor man’s game and our first members must have been men of some substance. Soon they were joined by Alan Robertson and Tom Morris.
