Wondering if I'm a complete degenerate here or not. I typically drink when I play in my Thursday afternoon league because it's mostly about hanging out with my dad and buddies since it's my one free night from wife and kid responsibilities each week. I generally have 3-4 beers between the 9 holes and aftermath in the clubhouse.

Three or four IPAs is strong work. Well done. I also have a few just about every time I play. I usually go with cheap pilsners, but I'll switch it up sometimes. I am playing in a charity tournament in a few weeks with an early morning tee time, and my team is planning on bring orange juice and champagne.

I'll have a couple of Beers during golf league ( playing for fun and hanging out with my buddies) or I'll have a few ( ok 5-6 ) if playing in a Charity outing ( i usually buy from the cart girl or whoever is riding around selling the drinks ). However during a normal round of golf or while playing for $, I'm stone cold sober:) Cheers!

I forgot to mention that I have some back issues as well (underwent 4 days a week therapy last spring after disc trauma on the basketball court that kept me from being able to work out for 6 months), so a couple drinks while I play helps loosen me up a bit. This is especially true of my midweek rounds as I am extra sore from sitting in a vehicle all day for my job..

MtlJeff

Sometimes, if i'm playing an afternoon round usually i'll have 1-2 at the turn. Depends who i'm playing with My standard morning weekend rounds i almost never do

RJRJRJ

I used to drink a lot when I would play with my friends. These days I usually don't drink at all (on the course). Once in a while ill grab a beer if I'm playing like crap, or grab a drink at the turn.

Depends how hot it is. When it's hot it's water or Gatorade. When it's not too hot, a couple of cocktails are OK. I know a guy who plays better when he drinks beer, he can have 6 and his play gets better and better. Whenever I'm his partner, I start buying him beers before we leave the clubhouse.
