USPS is usually the cheapest unless you have an account with one of the others and get discounted prices. They all have shipping calculators on their websites, put in where it's going, dimensions and weight, and shipping time and you get your answer.

I have noticed lately that with usps priority, a package that has dimensions of say, 48 -6 -6 will be like 18 dollars and the same package at 48 - 6 - 7 will be 45.00.

for iron sets and a driver (due to length of club) - i'll ship FedEx. it's been a while since i've shipped out a set but IIRC it was roughly $15-20 or so.

I shipped a set of irons for 50. Also had to ship a driver at 50 because of 1/2 on an inch. Was super mad. Wo t be buying and selling much anymore. The large triangle priority boxes where perfect but they dont make them anymore. They kept the cost down.

It only cost me $9 to ship a putter priority from VA to NC on Wednesday. Sameday, cost the same to ship a fairway wood to GA. An iron set shipped priority from VA to CA could cost a bit but I have never seen the prices some of you are quoting.

I've never paid over $25 to ship irons unless they were going to Canada. Living in the midwest is good for something.

I always check dimensions on USPS.com before shipping and I've never had a problem with excessive rates. For example, if I have a 46" x 6" x 6" box to ship a club in and USPS shows the shipping as $25, then I'll change the dimension to the smallest length that would fit the club and check the rate again.
