And you can't deny that 12.6 pounds of Golf R that each 2.0 TSI horse has to carry is much better than the 14.2 pounds that every VR6 pony had to pack. happy so far

This is my first VW and the 2012 Golf is impressive. The car is very comfortable and handles well. On it's first long trip, I averaged 33 mpg of mostly highway miles.

I love this car

I have owned and driven almost everything that moves. I am a car guy I love them all. My last VW was a 2004 1.8t GTI and i loved that one alot but this new Golf TDi is an absolute blast to drive, throw it into a corner and it just sticks very well for a stock car.

Above average car

I have had this car for about 6 months so far having put 5000 miles on it. I saw many reviews on here that reflected the car returned an average MPG rating of over 44 mpg. My average since i have owned the car is 35mpg. While not as high as other have claimed it is still very good and higher than the 34mpg EPA estimate.

Great value and it's like owning a "Mac" car

Bought this car at the beginning of July 2012 and have taken it from Vancouver, BC to SF, and back. Great gas economy: the longer I drove, the better mileage I got, at the end averaging 19 Km/liter (44.69MPG) with the AC on 70% of the time. The entire trip I filled up 4 tanks. That's with quite a bit city driving in the Bay area.

Great Car...but it's like an iPhone

I was torn between a Golf and the Ford Focus. Ultimately, the interior detail and materials sold me on the Golf. It looks like an Audi on the inside (especially at night!). My cloth seats are comfortable and ergonomically correct. I can fit 4 adults in the car without it feeling cramped. Currently getting approx 315 miles per tank.

Great dependable car for jumping in and going

great worry free car. it just starts and goes without any hassle. comfortable perfect for heading to the beach or commuting. I deal owners are young female, young small family, commuter.

Solid, high quality, and fun to drive

My third VW Golf - this one has been the best - love it for it's versatility, low cost of ownership, reliability (only things I've had to replace is tires and battery in 112,000 miles) and joy of driving - not the fastest off the line but cornering, braking and high-speed driving / passing - wow!

Very reliable

Its very comfortable It has Bluetooth, radio , TV , Sirius, aux. It has DSG transmission, sunroof, it runs excellent, plenty of room. The engine is clean and new. Etc.

Going good so far!

I was looking for a car that was reliable and good on gas milage, as due to working 7 days a week I need a constant transport to work. This car filled that and then some. Incredible interior, not too cluttered instrument panel and lots of head and leg room (I'm 6'2 and 350lbs).

A nice reliable fun car great fuel mileage handles

It?s very easy to drive and practical the comfort of the car is really nice it handles very well the display on the dashboard is easy to read the car manual is very helpful and easy to figure out and the ac is fantastic

Love this car

After you put some money into it to get rid of what Volkswagen did you make it more economically friendly you get better MPG and more power out of it.

The Golf is an upscale car and great value

I've owned this vehicle since brand new, it now has 93,500 miles on it. It has been the most reliable car I've ever owned and never needed anything more than oil changes, breaks, and tires. Its an excellent car and I would recommend to anyone.
