Since you can adjust the lie angle on some of the drivers out there (including mine), should the toe sit up at address. I see it a lot on TV (esp the LPGA), I've always tried to have mine sit parallel to the ground.

Address means nothing. Impact is everything. You don't adjust your club to get it to set up a specific way at address, you adjust it so the head is in a particular position at impact

Wouldn't having the driver toe up lower your hands and cause a hook? When I lower my hands,,,, I hook and when I raise my hands up (which flattens the driver on the ground) I generally fade or push the ball right.

Actually having the toe up was a problem for me. It took two large buckets of balls to figure it out. I have to bring the handle pretty much aiming at my belly button to hit my driver at least somewhat consistently. When those old hands slip slow, off to the left she goes ðŸŒï¸

I've started to hover a little bit. My AoA is way too high (5+, sometimes 6+) and when I hover, it helps me swing a little more level.

I hover all my clubs, driver included. Never do the clubs snag on the back swing and I have a better feel for the club if I hold it off the ground.

Speaking about hovering vs grounding a driver, I've had success with both for decades. It was only until a few years ago I was able to verify (via Trackman) how much better I was able to increase and consistently induce center face contact while hovering. I went from 1.45 to 1.48 avg. Smash Factor and almost eliminated the high toe miss completely.
