I've read on here that most people prefer a glove to fit "tight" as opposed to loose/baggy. I get why you wouldn't want something too loose as it will bunch up and promote slippage. But my question: can a glove be too tight? If it is really tight, I feel like I may be squeezing really hard just to close the glove -- possibly causing issues.

RobNY22

I fit into midsize grips and wear a small glove. After one round it becomes more of a smedium, which is perfect.

hdgolf44

I'm usually a Cadet ML, so if the glove feels right off the shelf, I'll keep it as a gamer right away.

towncryer

If a glove is too tight, it can pinch the pad of your palm on your pinky finger side in and cause issues with grip. Leather will stretch, but buying a glove that fits like a second skin is a better strategy than letting one stretch.

Shilgy

Yes. Personally, I like my glove to have an average "snug" fit, not a "choking my hand" fit. If that makes sense....

Bobb3rdown

If the velcro overlaps to much when new its gonna be to big after the first round pretty much. I try and get one that closes about 3/4 of the way new. For me a too snug of a glove is better than to big

hybrid25

Snug is good, they stretch after usage. I have tried but can't do it, that is playing without a glove.

Viking Golfer

Claus, sounds like the L is perfect for you! I use M-L and they're a tight fit out of the package, but after a few holes they're perfect. The Stasof is a great glove by the way!

lrgdawg

I like mine tight, since they tend to stretch after a round or so. Gloves should feel like a second layer...to loose and the grip will slip in your hand, plus will wear out quicker. I use either Titleist Perma Soft or FJ Sta-Soft, both seem to wear pretty well.

Goose

Titleist Players glove, cadet medium. i like a nice tight fit... as soon as a glove get a little loose or worn i save it for the range and practice rounds and break out a new one....that is when im playing tournaments.

golf9596

I am looking for a very tight fit in the hand and palm, with just enough finger room to be able to open my hand. The tight fit will eliminate any bulk slippage.

Sakman

I use M-L and they're a tight fit out of the package, but after a few holes they're perfect.

Hairpie

Cadet medium.....and if it isn't fairly tight then you've got the wrong size....

Stevers

I prefer a tighter fitting glove. I know that it will loosen up after use anyways. Nike Elite Feel ML
