Hello guys just wondering of my clutch cable is ok, I had to fit the repair panel to the bulk head and when connecting the cable to the pedal I have to pull it and hook it over the hook on the pedal so it was tight, all the pedals sit aligned to each other except the accelerator and that due to the grommet being missing, which I have ordered, I have driven the car and the biting point of the clutch is roughly in the middle, I'm not sure if this is ok or if it needs adjusting, I don't really want to mess around with it of its ok, and sorry if it sounds odd but to be honest I'm not used to the pedal being like this as before due to the bulk head rusting the pedal was sitting lower and have driven it like this for the past 3 years lol so now it feels funny and I have had that high rev sound when changing gear as I'm not used to the biting point all help appreciated in advance.

I adjusted the but on the gear box side and I got some movement on the gearbox bracket, I also pressed the clutch pedal and it got some free play when I press down before I feel some stiffness in the Pedal, also am I adjust it right the way, the way I'm doing it is undoing the 17mm nut on the cable and then the plastic nut turning it anti-clockwise to give it some slack in the bracket the tightening the 17mm back up again is this the correct way or would it be clockwise of the plastic nut, lol sorry about the confusion just want to make sure it's being done right thank you.

On my Mk1 scirocco I've fitted a thick bit of wire around the clutch cable and brake master cylinder to hold it straight as I don't have the clip to hold the cable on that car, some cable ties will also do the same job.
