I have the 10X30 strip but did not connect it to my plywood base to stand on. I have two pieces of plywood screwed together with some old carpet on top so it is about the same height of the mat. It is about 3ft by 4ft. When hitting the mat slides around a bit but that can be a good thing taking pressure off my body when hitting a little chunky.
