I have never done it, but I think it is a good idea for a number of reasons and I encourage you to do it.#N#I would think a small single strap bag with no stand, like a Ping Moonlite, would work best.#N#The trick, I suggest, is to put the strap across your chest, like a messenger bag, rather than just over one shoulder.#N#I agree with the post that says it would probably be a good idea to put the rain hood on the bag, to contain the clubs generally and just in case you tumble specifically.#N#[That said, I realize the Ping moonlight bag does not come with a rain hood]..

There’s an older guy at a local course that rigged up a way to carry his bag in the basket of a 3 wheel bicycle. He rode it while he played.

I used to ride to the course on my beach cruiser. Sunday bag on my back. No problems.

My car is in the shop but I really need to get to the course this weekend. A taxi would be about 20 dollars each way, which triples the cost of the round.#N#Has anyone ever ridden a bike with golf clubs? My bag has two straps so it's kind of like a back-pack. The course is about 2 miles away.

Back when I was a kid, I did it all the time. I actually pulled a pull cart behind my bike. About 5 miles to the local muni. It was either that or walk, or not play......#N#I think with a light bag and a little care, it could be done, assuming a relatively quiet route.

You gave me an idea David. An attachment to mount from the bike to the pull cart. That would be fairly simple to make at home if you have some tinkering skills.

You're all nerds. Don't you know you're supposed to ride no-handed and bearhug your bag the whole way. The veterans can carry a staff bag in such a manner.#N#seriously though, 2 miles?...Bike to the course and ride the cart back to your house to get your clubs.

Last time my car was in the shop I rode my bicycle with a full set of clubs to the course. It was a two-shoulder bag like you are talking about.#N#Just make sure you put the rain cover on so you know the clubs won't shake loose and remember that you are a lot wider with the bag than you normally are when riding a bike.

Just saw this thread. At my age (61) and pretty widespread arthritis I need to keep things moving. Any day I don't play or hit the range I make sure I hit at least 100 balls into a net at home. No fancy electronics to actually help me do any...
