I have used the search facility and read quite a few posts as I need to replace the hinge pins on my drivers side door (2 door car). I can't quite find what I am looking for apart from discovering that it is a pain in the a** job to do. I have two new genuine hinge pins and I know that it is best to remove the door first, but what then?

you'll never hammer them out, trust me on that one. i used a vice! only possible on the bottom pin tho really unless you have an uber thin vice, but luckily its almost always the bottom pin only that wears.

aye, the hinge door half is welded on, so you have to remove door and balance it with the hinge in a vice. right pain in the rear I can tell you!
