If you have steel, it should be easier. Sometimes an old wire coat hanger helps get the solvent in there and doesn't stretch the Winn's out too much.

If you want to remove and reuse the W inn grips, I would recommend using the v grip remover and maybe a little compressed air after you get the tape released, I think that is the method that is least likely to damage the grip.
Is Winn Dri Tacs more flexible than V tool?
Not a lot but some. I am not a pro. But it isn’t rocket surgery. The v tool and compressed air works with the old SuperStroke grips, cork putter grips, and leather grips, all of which are less flexible than Winn Dri Tacs.
Is Winn DriTac better than reuse?
I play with Winn DriTac midsized grips. From my experience, it is better to put new grips on than to reuse them. They are not as flexible as many other grips for reuse.

My experience with Winn's is that any solvent that accidentally gets on the grip is there to stay, and ruins the tack.
Is V grip remover easy to use?
It is not as easy with double-sided grip tape and it is easier to "balloon" a grip that way. Once a grip is "ballooned", it never feels right again.
How to clean Winn grips?
To clean a Winn grip, apply a small amount of water to a soft towel, and gently rub the grips. Do not saturate the towel. Never use a brush and soapy water to clean a Winn grip because it may damage the top surface and destroy the tackiness and slip-resistance of the grip.

You can build up any Winn grip that features Advanced Vertical Seam (AVS) technology. These single panel design AVS grips allows up to four wraps. We do not recommend building up our spiral wrap style grips.

Yes. Winn now offers grips in 3 categories – Ultra Soft (Excel Series), Performance Comfort (Dri-Tac, Dri-Tac Wrap Lite) and Responsive (DuraTech, WInnPro). Our 'Responsive' grips have been reformulated over the past two years and are worthy of consideration if you prefer a more firm but still tacky feel.

In order to keep your clubs in top shape, use a spray bottle on your grips. Give about three or four pushes to get the grips wet and dry them off with a towel or rag.
How much do golf clubs cost?
Golf clubs are an expensive investment. Many golfers spend $750 or more on their clubs, and it's not unusual to spend double that amount. In order to make the clubs last 10 years or more, you have to maintain them. That includes keeping the grips free of dirt and debris.
Does Windex oil dry out grips?
This will break up the dirt and oil below the surface and return the grips to almost-new condition. But it's important to rinse off the remnants with water--Windex contains ammonia, which will dry out the grips and make them feel hard and brittle.

If you want soft but more durable, check out the GolfPride CP2. I've been using the CP2 wrap for at least several months now and don't see any sign of wear. Was able to go to the standard CP2 vs midsize in Winn Dri-Tac with these (arthritis) partly as a touch less taper than the usual standard.

I bought a brand new wedge with a soft Winn grip and destroyed it in about 10 swings. Maybe my grip pressure is a little tight, but I just prefer a grip like the REL or NDMC that will last me through the season and longer.

I actually had the CP2 wraps on my clubs at the start of the year, and didn't really like them. No real reason other than I wasn't a fan of how they fit in my hands. I have Crosslines on now, and they are fine. I don't have arthritis or anything - I was just more curious.

Last year, I put the Winn AVS V-17 Lite Firm Grips on my clubs. I didn't even get 2 months out of them. About 10 rounds in they showed wear. At one charity outing, I couldn't hit driver without it slipping out of my hands, and that was about 15 rounds in.
