Putting Setup
The setup is arguably the most crucial part of making a successful putt. A slight mistake in the setup and all your hard work will go down the drain. Here is a tried and tested setup that works for most golfers.
Putting Posture
For starters, stand approximately one foot away from the ball. The ball should be slightly forward than the center of both your feet and your feet should be shoulder-width apart from each other.
Putting Stance
Your stance will ultimately decide how close to stand to the golf ball when putting. Follow all the steps mentioned above and make sure your feet are shoulder-width apart from each other.
Putting Grip
Your grip and the putter length play a critical role in deciding how close to stand to the golf ball when putting. After following all the above steps, if you have to hold the putter from either too far up or too far down, there is something wrong with your grip.
How to make a putt better?
Increase length. Start to increase the length of your stroke slightly and make note of how far the ball rolls out. As you start hitting more and more putts, it will be easier to examine how far each size stroke send the balls. 4. Read putt. Now you should be ready to read the putt and make a game plan for your putt.
What is lag putt?
Unless you are hitting the ball close on your approach on every single hole, you will have to stroke some long putts — also known as lag putts — throughout your round. These putts can give people fits and are often the reason golfers rack up three-putts on their card.
How to save a par?
If you can leave the ball within three feet, you’ll be in excellent position to two-putt and save your par. 1. Pendulum rhythm 2. Evaluate putt 3. Increase length 4. Read putt 5. Set goal.
Rukket Haack Golf Net Review
You would think golf practice nets would be a pretty simple concept across the board, right? The problem I was having with my old practice net was that it was not simple in the least.
Allows me to Practice Anywhere
The ability to practice anywhere is important to me as I sometimes find myself with a bit of downtime at home or at the office.
Stands up to the Weather
I live in the Pacific Northwest and it rains a lot here. I needed a golf net that could stand up to both rain and wind and the Rukket Haack net has done just that. It comes with ground stakes if you want to practice outside and secure it to the ground and the best part is that you can leave it outside.
Allows for all Kinds of Practice Shots
I was really excited when I saw that the Rukket Haack Net came with its own hitting mat that featured 3 different types of turf: fairway, rough and tight.
Easy to set up
This is not the kind of net that you will need an engineering degree to set up. The frame tubes feed into each other easily and the vertical poles are collapsible.

Not the worst product for the price, but the durability leaves something to be desired. It lasted about 9 months with medium use as I just blew out the second side of my Rukket hitting net (the first went a few months back). The really sad thing is that I hit nothing longer than a 9 iron into it as I'm 6'3 and the ceiling is too low.

Lol - probably didn't help that I use my "not fit for play" balls. Every Pro V, AVX, etc. that hit's a tree or cart path goes in the practice bucket. That said, many are just found premium balls in good shape as my dad is a marshal at a nice course.

I've only had mine for a short period of time, but sure hoping this doesn't happen to me.

I just bought a replacement net. This time around I may reinforce the hitting area with something. Maybe kevlar?

The net on my Rukket has lasted through thousands of balls drivers through wedges.

Glad to hear yours held up better. If you look on Amazon, one of the negative reviews is for the same frayed netting. I actually bought some ballistic nylon to place in the hitting area this time around.
Yrrdead
Yeah all those types of nets and any net really will get smoked by high spin + old balls (cuts, frays, etc.).
