I cant see this going well... Only way to ensure a proper look is to pull the heads IMO. Nessism

Propane torch = $20 (or even less) You will need a hand drill or similar to dig the old epoxy out of the tip of the shaft. 100 grit sand paper can be rolled up and used to clean the hosel. Bottom line is you do not need to spend much money to do simple club building work. Do the job right or don't do it at all.

All the above are correct. "Healing" and looking "Custom" have VERY DIFFERENT MEANINGS! I work on clubs a lot and I can tell you "healing" a ferrule (for me) is not easy and it doesn't look the same as new. Buy a torch, you can get epoxy small job packets from golfworks.com cheap.

I do all my clubwork and have seen many clubs worked on through our club builder at work who has 20+ yrs of experience. Never have I heard of or seen a "split ferrule." The whole idea seems like a train wreck waiting to happen. For a ferrule to fit it needs to be snug.

TWshoot67

There's only one way to do this..... and that is to do it correctly. Just like any job in life. Do it right the first time so your not paying 2- 3x's more to correct the initial screw up. JMHO.
