Being in Texas, is it possible that the heat in your trunk is slowly breaking down the epoxy bond? Again, just a hypothesis, maybe someone else can chime in.

Ferrules can creep up the shaft a small amount from time to time and the easiest cure is to hold the ferrule over a steaming kettle and push them back down. If the epoxy has obviously broken and the ferrule is completely loose, a small amount of epoxy will do a sufficient repair. A recurring problem seems to point to a few things.

Good lord what is golfsmith thinking. They've spent more time gluing this ferrule down when all they had to do was cut the old one off, apply heat, remove head from shaft, install a new tight ferrule on the shaft, and reinstall the head to the shaft with epoxy. This would take all of 10 minutes to do and would be much more permanent.

If you are going to reshaft anyway, have them order in a dozen 2149UI ferrules. They are a Titleist direct replacement. When installing, coat the inside of the ferrule with epoxy before placing on the shaft. It'll lubricate the inside and allow for easier installation as well as lock the ferrule in place once dried.
