It puts a clear hard protective coating that works wonders. Apply, sit in sun to bake on, buff, re-apply as much and as often as you like. Fantastic stuff.

Wax and polish is pretty much a waste of time. Clean the clubs with soap and water and towel dry. That's about the only thing you can do.
