Created in 1956 by the legendary golf architect William Diddle and renovated by Arthur Hills, Elcona has a proud history. Stunning mature tree lines, Poa Annua greens, and impeccably maintained Bentgrass fairways provide a relaxing retreat from the everyday.
Grounds
Headed by our Superintendent Ryan Cummings, Elcona has a deep heritage of excellence in golf course management. As a true jewel in Northern Indiana, we have hosted every major state tournament and have close ties with Purdue Turfgrass Management Programs. Arrival
- Upon arrival we ask that all guests stop at the bag drop for your clubs. You will be greeted by either a Rack Room Attendant or a Golf Professional who will take your bag and from there you may park your car. Dress Code
- We ask that all members and guests wear appropriate attire when on the golf course, the practice facilities, and in the clubhouse. Shorts are permitted for both men and ladies, but should rise no more than 4 inches above the knee. Cell Phone Policy
- Cell phones should be turned off or on vibrate mode at all times while at the Club. Use of your cell phone is discouraged, however, if you must use your phone, please be respectful to others and move to a private location.
Pace of Play
- Members and guests are expected to play a round of golf in four hours or less. Elcona employs 10 minute intervals for tee times. This allows for an enjoyable round of golf without the feeling of being rushed. Please be ready to play at all times, pick up if you are out of the hole, and putt continuously when appropriate. Care of The Course
- Members and guests have a responsibility to take care of the golf course. Please repair all ball marks on the greens, replace divots, and properly rake bunkers. When using a golf cart, please follow all directional signs and use cart paths when designated to do so.
