Golf Cart Rentals Golf carts are a fun and easy way to explore the island. Kelleys Island General Store offers four & six seat gasoline golf car rentals to adults 21 and older. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis; reservations are not available at this time.

Depends on which B&B you're staying at and where they are. Kelley's is a big island, and if the weather is very hot or rainy, you may wish you had your car to get around to save you from the elements.
Is it cheaper to bring a car to the ferry?
It's cheaper to bring the car. If you don't you will have to pay a daily fee to park at the ferry lot and then $14/hour for cart rental. Which is never much fun in a downpour or sweltering temps.
