Can you remove permanent marker from a disc?
I hate when people assume you're only trying to remove it if you found/stole a disc or something. Anyway, I've found that Goof Off (or anything with acetone basically) works fairly well, although it doesn't get all of it. It usually leaves the marker fairly faint, but on darker color discs you can't see it at all.
Can you use sharpie on disc golf discs?
The ink will hold but will fade with time. Water won't affect it, though. A sharpie wouldn't compromise the disc's legality because it doesn't have any "detectable thickness".
