i think they are guessing too sometimes, i don't know that caddies remember on every shot to signal what club was being used. Some players probably don't want it done either. I mean Tiger used to try and block the swingvision cameras sometimes

NSA has satellites everywhere. Cameras are so good that they can pick up the writing on the clubs. It's all hush-hush off budget stuff. So, to pay for this stuff, they sell info to the networks.
