I tried the 12V reset method but couldn't seem to get it to work even after waiting 10 minutes.

holding the power button on the head unit normally initiates a reboot, but that assumes it is already running properly. I assume there is a sequence of powering on while holding a button that would get you into a boot menu of some sort, but I don't know what it would be.

I've "fixed" this issue once before unintentionally, when my 12V had died on me. It's just that I don't know how we can tell when the HMU fully discharges, I tried waiting 10 minutes but no luck. Yeah, now that you mention that, I think I'll just unplug it overnight.

Disconnected for two hours, didn't work. After that, I even removed the head unit completely (removed panel, removed mounting screws, disconnected the grey and blue headers), but still couldn't get the anti-theft power loss screen to come up. What in the world is going on??
