Golf Pride MCC Plus4 Align Grip

Many golfers are really picky about their grips and all of their subtle nuances. Three particulars that often come up cord or no cord, extra wraps of tape to build up the grip size, and alignment spines/ribs in the grip. And of course, players are very picky in terms of these things being “just so”.

The Looks

As of writing this review the Golf Pride MCC Plus4 ALIGN grip is only available in the black/grey with pops of red accenting pictured here. The black top half contains moisture-wicking cotton cord to provide more traction in the top hand. The grey bottom half contains a softer rubber that is supposed to give you better feel and comfort.

How Does it Feel?

If you’re a long-time Golf Pride MultiCompound fan, the Plus4 ALIGN has that signature hybrid feel you love so much. However, there are two big differences from what you’re used to. First is the very obvious alignment ridge running down the back.

On-Course Performance

Golf Pride MCC grips historically do a good job balancing stability and feel. The rubber compounds they use are stiff enough for good stability in any condition and to provide good response, but soft enough for acceptable comfort.

Final Thoughts – Golf Pride MCC Plus4 ALIGN Grip

My usual grip installation is “3 + 2”, which means I have three wraps of tape running the full length of the grip, and two additional wraps under my bottom hand.
